On the last Monday of every month, popular local wine and tapas bar Taylors located on Hurstmere Rd runs a wine-tasting night hosted by various New Zealand wineries. On Monday, September 30th the monthly wine selection was from the reputable Craggy Range vineyards in the Hawke's Bay. The tastings were conducted by the entertaining and charismatic wine sommelier Manuel Garcia. 

These monthly evenings are informative and lively, supported by regular locals who appreciate the excellent value that the $25 tickets offer. The wine is accompanied by generous cheese platters and the event runs from 6.30 – 8.30pm, but the friendly patrons stay on chatting well into the evening. 

Taylors is a cozy space, run by a two-man team who offer attentive service and a very friendly vibe. Many regulars choose the Taylors' team to host their 'occasional celebrations', and the bbq quiz nights are popular - as are the bottles of $65 Verve sold every day between 5 - 7pm.
