The Takapuna Boating Club celebrated 100 years in early February, with a long weekend of events starting on Waitangi Day, Thursday February 6th, that included the Centenary Dinner. A capacity crowd gathered for the dinner at the wonderful boat club that overlooks the beach. The event included a lovely meal and addresses from Ray Welson (Chair of the Centennial Committee), Life Member Ralph Roberts and current Commodore Andrew Snell. Channel Mag was in the thick of the celebration. 100 years is quite an achievement!
