‘Authentic Leadership – don’t be an imitation, be yourself.’ This was the theme of Pinehurst School’s first Leadership Symposium. 

All Year 8 and Year 9 students were joined by students from several other schools to listen to and participate in inspiring leadership experiences. The speakers, including Sir Ray Avery, came from a broad range of backgrounds. The programme allowed the students to learn more about themselves, and help them map a pathway for their own leadership journey.

“We have a vision here at Pinehurst for our students to be authentic leaders. They are encouraged to be themselves, to be proud of who they are and to aspire to pursue a purpose that matters to them," said Joe Johansen, Assistant Principal of Junior College.
