If you’ve followed our articles in Channel Magazine, now’s the time to follow the Channel View Road. It’ll lead you, via The Strand, to the iconic little store at 53 Hurstmere Road. The store that was Roberts Electrical, operated for decades by Taka icon Ralph Roberts and his family.
Well, the store has undergone a makeover to fit our water sports theme. It now faces out to our playground – Takapuna Beach. Soon a lot more of Takapuna will be doing the same. You’ll love it.
When you get there don’t be surprised if before you leave we have you “togged up and tricked out” with one of our many Wai Toy adventures.
At Stand Up Takapuna... You can rent a Stand Up Paddle Board, Boogie Board or Surfboard. Take a guided Jet Ski Tour to Waiheke Island with City Blast Jet Ski’s.

We are the start of something new in Takapuna. We are the “City by the Bay”. We are the back-door front-door store that links Takapuna directly to the beach. The world is here to play, and that’s what we do best. Come and be part of the flood that will channel salt water into the heart of Hurstmere Road. Stand Up for Takapuna by visiting our new store right next to the post office.
Our grand opening is Saturday November 5th. We will have some “Explosive Sales”, door prizes, free demos, food, beverages and loads of fun.
